Portfolio 3 - Start

For my final portfolio project, I've chosen to continue the gun I was working on in the last project, really trying to polish and texture it. At the end of last week I did discover the zremeshed low poly I was using does have some pretty major bake errors (also how on earth one is supposed to properly UV a zremeshed mesh.... I haven't a clue..), so the low poly is being redone.

Here's a small piece of the gun textured so far! In UE of course :]

Here is how the wireframe looks (currently at ~4.5k, trying to keep it as low as possible):


Schedule:
Week 1: low poly started, texture first pass done 
Week 2: low poly done, secondary pass on textures
Week 3: Industry Review, final pass on textures (fun shader time if I want to mess around with Warframe incarnon-esque stuff) 

Reference board is mostly the same as before;






























Bonus video from a friend showing the incarnon shader in Warframe, this is the thing I would like to do with the gun, *if* I have time before Industry Review.
